Hi and welcome! I am proud of you for taking this first big step toward healing and self-discovery.
I am the owner of reNEW YOU Counseling and Wellness, LLC and a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in treating children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents/families. I have had the privilege of receiving extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). With over 20 years of experience serving youth and families, I am grateful for the opportunity to share this knowledge with clients across a variety of clinical settings. My client-centered, integrative, positive, and holistic approach is designed to guide you toward health, wellness, and resilience by empowering you to discover and use your inner strengths.
My life’s work is being a counselor to youth and young adults and serving others so they can better serve themselves. I believe in the power of early intervention to help young people feel emotionally safe, heard, and validated so they can move forward in life knowing they are special and sacred. I also believe in supporting parents and the family system by helping them better understand child development, as well as how unresolved hurts from their own lives can impact parenting styles, attachment patterns, and communication with their children.
My ultimate goal is to help break dysfunctional cycles and empower children and families to thrive in health and wellness.
Outside of being a clinician, I am a devoted wife, happily married for over 15 years, and a mother to three beautiful and lively children. I am also a proud fur mama to our adorable Bernese Mountain Dog, two sweet kitties, and one super cool leopard gecko. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and finding joy in the simple things in life, such as playing with my kids, sipping hazelnut coffee, reading a good book, cooking, gardening, hiking, traveling, practicing Pilates, listening to music, being out in nature, and advocating for the people and causes I believe in most.
