Growing up and navigating the world can be very scary and challenging. Children, adolescents and young adults are in a constant state of learning and needing to have it all figured out. I envision a world where young people can feel free to safely express their complex emotions without experiencing judgement. Hello, my name is Nicole Gomber and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor.
I work with children, adolescents and young adults experiencing general anxiety, high academic achievement anxiety, low self-esteem, body image, trauma, addiction, and overall life challenges. Our kids and teens are tired of hearing, “it’s just a phase” or “you’ll understand when you’re older.” As a clinician, my goal is to help my young clients feel validated in their growth journey by providing an empathetic, nonjudgmental and supportive environment.
I provide individual counseling sessions for clients ages 5-25. In my therapy sessions, I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to navigate intense emotions and build healthy coping strategies and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which guides clients in taking steps to be more aligned with their authentic self. I also use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for clients who experienced trauma. If you or your child feels ready to tackle their life concerns, I am here and would love to connect with you.
