What Is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a holistic system of health and healing that originated in India thousands of years ago, making it one of the oldest, most continuously practiced, and comprehensive medical systems in the world. Ayurveda translates to “the science or knowledge of life,” with Ayur meaning life and Veda meaning science or knowledge. It explores the relationship between body, mind, and environment to support overall balance and vitality.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Ayurveda emphasizes individualized care and seasonal living. It teaches that our bodies respond best when we align our routines, nutrition, and self-care practices with the rhythms of nature.
Many Ayurvedic principles focus on warming, grounding, and nourishing the body — themes that beautifully complement nervous system support. Read this blog to learn more about it!
