A strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is the first step in making positive and healthy changes. I’m a strong believer in the quote, “You grow through what you go through.” By providing a safe and affirming space, I work with and support children, adolescents, and young adults, alongside their families, to be the expert on their lives while supporting and guiding them to take initiative to heal and make healthy, long-term changes. I take a trauma-informed approach with all clients and utilize techniques and principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I support and encourage my clients to openly express themselves and to self-identify. The involvement and support of caregivers and family is imperative in creating long-term change and increasing overall well-being. I utilize positive parenting skills and techniques in order to help increase positive communication and understanding between children and caregivers to more effectively address presenting concerns. Life is tough and so are you – I’m here to stand by your side and provide stability and consistency while you navigate the hard stuff.
